When it comes to exterior shading and all weather awnings Aquarius Blinds have standard systems or will build a system to meet almost any bespoke requirement. With experience since 1986 we have worked on projects from outside restaurant waterproof awnings, specialist awnings for schools, architect projects and many more.

From our factory and showroom in Mitcham, we are able to produce virtually any design to suit your requirements and combined with our graphic artwork service, we will complete your installation from start to finish.

Dutch Canopies & walkway awnings

Dutch canopies are still an old favourite for many shops as the three dimensional aspect of this canopy allows for good advertising opportunities.

Distinguished shapes and styles have been around for over 100 years, and can be manufactured as either a fixed or retractable unit via nylon pull cords, gear operation or electric control.

Produced from anodised ribbed aluminium profile, die cast aluminium corners and reinforced nylon injected hinges for strength, our blinds are built to last for many years.

Walkway awnings are produced in the same profiles as the Dutch canopy with the addition of a base frame as required and upright support legs and are ideal for entrances such as hotels, clubs and casino's.

Coverings from the Swela acrylic fabric range give a fantastic selection of colour combinations combined with our sign writing and graphic service you can create an image bespoke to your business.

Should you select a retractable awning, you have an option of a protective weather board to protect the folds of fabric from filling with water when retracted.

 

Shop Awnings

Awnings for shops, restaurants, schools and almost all business types can benefit from the use of an extending awning.

From smoking shelters and waterproof restaurant awnings with built in lights to sun protectors, this design of blind can be as wide as 18 meters in one piece to cover the largest of areas.

Designs and styles differ from open and enclosed cassette units to build-in shop fitters awnings, free standing and drop arm awnings.

Specialist applications include lights, Infra-Red heaters, vibration safety censors and all the Somfy controls to operate your awning just how you want it.

Our sign writing service and fabric choice will provide a unique system built with lasting qualities to promote, shade and protect for years to come.

Traditional Butcher awnings

Still manufactured using traditional methods, the "Butchers" style awning are the most stable of all systems on the market today.

Produced from a combination of wood types including Parana pine, this awning is made with a heavy duty aluminium roller tube, high tensile spring and traditional hand forged steel arms.

Operations of the Butchers awning is simply "pull out" via a timber pole and pull down plate, alternatively, electric operation and all the usual Somfy extras are optional.

Traditional sign writing

Sign writing is a very important part of commercial blinds and awnings as it can project your name, business or product line out to potential customers.

Traditionally hand finished or inkjet applied, our craftsmen will reproduce virtually any logo, letter style or image onto your canopy including Gold leaf for something extra special.
